Satish Kaushik: Proper Care Centers And Hospitals Need To Be Arranged For Kids Suffering From Covid-19

God, I really miss 2019. Yes, I know we share the same set of emotions because this new normal is really getting on my nerves now, but again,  the only way to stop this phase from extending is by adopting the norms of the new normal and by following all the protocols. The second wave of the COVID-19 is holding a tight grip on our country and due to this, the healthcare facilities are becoming scarce as the cases are doubling every single minute. Recently, Indian film director, producer, and actor Satish Kaushik tested positive and he had a lot to say about the health facility for Covid-19 affected kids, which often goes neglected.

The actor is better now, but he’s worried about his two house helps and his 8-year-old daughter, Vanshika, who also tested positive. In fact, Vanshika was also hospitalized for a month and she was recently discharged. Seeing the struggle of his daughter, Kaushik realized that this is a tough time for kids, too. The actor was recently seen in Kaagaz alongside Pankaj Tripathi and I totally loved his performance in it.

Speaking of his daughter’s condition, the actor says-

This is the second wave and kids are also getting infected. It’s a serious matter that needs to be dealt with by our government. Proper care centers and hospitals for kids need to be arranged. They should comprise a specialized team of pediatricians and nurses who can handle kids adequately.

When my daughter, Vanshika, needed a hospital bed, I managed to arrange one for her. But she wasn’t in a hospital that treats kids or has facilities to deal with Covid-19 related issues with kids. Children are getting diagnosed with multi-system inflammatory syndrome and Vanshika, too, had to undergo many tests. When it comes to health infrastructure, we don’t think of kids instantly.

It is a scary situation and things are getting worse. It is the need of the hour and we should start thinking and making provisions for the same.

Clearly, the government needs to look into this matter and see what best can be done as it’s the only way to stop this situation from getting worse. As the saying goes, ‘Prevention is better than cure‘, I feel the only best bet to keep the virus at bay is by maintaining social distance, wearing a mark, and by getting vaccinated. It’s going to be a long fight for sure but soon we will get there. Stay safe and stay positive, we are in this together.

While it is great that after a whole year of staying put at home, people are finally resuming work, it still comes with its risks as the chances of contracting the Coronavirus is still as high.

Just last week, we received news of veteran actor/filmmaker Satish Kaushik contracting the virus. Now, just today, the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor, Kartik Aaryan, has informed everyone that he has also tested positive.

The actor took to his Instagram to post a picture of a large positive ‘plus’ sign. In the caption, he wrote “Positive ho gaya. Dua karo (I have tested positive. Pray for me)”, with a face-palm and a folded hands emoji.

This news comes just two days after the actor walked the ramp for designer Manish Malhotra at The Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai. He was joined by his Bhool Bhulaiyya 2 co-star, actress Kiara Advani.

Kartik and Kiara began shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyya 2 after the lockdown was lifted. Just a few days ago, Kartik shared a picture from the sets of the film as they were joined by Tabu, who stayed in a bio bubble on sets so as to protect herself from infections.

Right before Bhool Bhulaiyya 2, Kartik shot for Dhamaka, which he wrapped in just 10 days! The film is being directed by Ram Madhvani and the teaser just dropped two weeks ago.

Here’s wishing the actor a speedy recovery.

Salman Khan To Recite A Poem In Satish Kaushik’s Movie ‘Kaagaz’

Satish Kaushik and Salman Khan

Actor and director Satish Kaushik not only has superstar Salman Khan as the presenter of his upcoming movie, but also got the Dabangg actor to recite a poem in the film. Satish Kaushik will be wearing the director’s hat after his 2014 movie Gang Of Ghosts.

According to a report by IANS, Satish said —

Salman has recited a very good poem in the film, which comes in the beginning and at the end of the film. It is a great poem written by Aseem Ahmed Abbasi. Salman had recited it so well that we decided to make a video also for promotion. It is based on the theme of ‘Kaagaz’ — how ‘kaagaz’ (paper) is important in our lives.

The movie, starring Pankaj Tripathi, was scheduled to release in May. But due to the COVID-19 situation, he has to now wait for the right time to release the movie.

He said:

After the lockdown is lifted, I am going to take it easy. You have to follow certain rules and take safety measures. But yes, I have lots of work on my platter. My dream project ‘Kaagaz’ is already complete. Little work on the post-production is left. It was supposed to release on May 15, but it was not possible so I am going to wait.

The director also added, “I am going to come up with a plan on how to release it and go about it. When the theatre is going to open…I am going to wait for that. My whole concentration will be on that apart from acting assignments”.

The movie is being produced by Salman Khan and Karan Johar under the banner Salman Khan Films and Dharma Productions. It is based on the real-life story of Mritak Lal Bihari, an Indian farmer and activist. The movie also stars Monal Gajjar and Amar Upadhyay.

Well, we can’t wait for the movie to hit the screens!
