Irrfan Khan has left behind a great legacy with his contribution to Indian cinema. And now, his son, Babil Khan, is also keen to follow his father’s footsteps and establish a career in Bollywood. Irfan not only won hearts around the world, but he also gave Indian cinema a new perspective with his work. His son takes inspiration from him and his film debut is proof of that.

Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh Sharma’s next production, ‘Qala‘ marks Babil’s debut in Hindi cinema. He is all set to feature in this film opposite Tripti Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee. Qala is said to be a heart-touching story about a daughter who craves her mother’s love. Babil took to his Instagram and expressed what he feels before his debut film releases. He says that he expects the audience watching his film to launch off their seats in awe of it.

Babil Khan Discovers His Father Irrfan Khan’s Notebook With Valuable Acting Lessons

href=”author/shubanka-sridhar”>Shubanka Sridhar , 23 Mar 2021Irrfan Khan and Babil Khan (Source: Instagram | @babil.i.k)

Babil Khan is the one who is our little inlet to re-living the magic and greatness of the late Irrfan Khan, his father. Babil posts some lovely moments from the time he spent with his father, and shares memories that are priceless.

Just today, he took to his Instagram to share a video of a notebook he discovered, which he terms ‘The Book Of Eli’ that contains some priceless notes on the art of acting. He had gifted it to his ‘greatest dad’.

Sharing the video, he wrote:

I just found this book in Baba’s cupboard that I had given him when I was like 12 (he used to hate it when I used to call him ‘Dad’ but whilst puberty global westernisation was beginning to ripen) He had been writing notes on acting for me in it that I think he was going to teach me after film school, so I guess I have just found the ‘Book of Eli’. I’ll share with you the first few notes cause I want you to think I’m nice :-
1. The intent – general but specific emotion like displacement, if you are unable to identify with a specific situation.
2. The text is holy in context eg. the woman in the man, self-pity, sexual politics etc.
3. Follow the action of the text sincerely and the required emotion will arise – the intention of the lines are to tell a story and not to pass information.
4. Drama has to be created, it cannot be represented or portrayed like a fact.
If you don’t understand some things, welcome to the club (I’m here feeling like I’m decrypting hyroglifics from scratch. The rest is SO confusing, can’t even ask him.

Check out his post:

Babil was showered with love from all his followers and here’s sending him all the love and light from our side too! I sure can’t wait to see him learn from his father and shine his light very soon!

Director Nishikant Kamat Passes Away Due To Liver Cirrhosis

href=”author/shubanka-sridhar”>Shubanka Sridhar , 17 Aug 2020Nishikant Kamat in a still from the film Daddy

Nishikant Kamat, who has helmed films like Ajay Devgn‘s Drishyam, Irrfan Khans Madaari and John Abraham‘s Rocky Handsome, was admitted to the hospital in Hyderabad as he was undergoing treatment for cirrhosis of liver. The doctors had said in a statement that his condition was critical, but he was stable. Earlier today, there was news of him passing away due to a relapse.

While filmmaker Milap Zaveri, actor Riteish Deshmukh and John took to their social media to inform that he is still fighting for his life, news now is that the hospital, AIG Hospital, have themselves released a statement that due to multiple organ failures, he succumbed to his illness at 4:24 PM.

Here is Riteish Deshmukh’s post:

I will miss you my friend. #NishikantKamat Rest In Peace. 🙏🏽

— Riteish Deshmukh (@Riteishd) August 17, 2020

The 50-year-old filmmaker made his debut with the Marathi film, Dombivali Fast, in 2005. It even won him a national award in 2006. His Bollywood debut film was based on the 2006 Mumbai bombings titled Mumbai Meri Jaan. From there on, he went on to direct the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film, Drishyam, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu.

Not just directing, Nishikant has also acted in films. He has been part of the cast in films like Rocky Handsome, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, Julie 2 and Daddy. He was also the creative producer for Indian web series’ like The Final Call and Rangbaaz Phir Se.

This surely is a huge loss to the Indian film fraternity. We pray for Nishikant’s soul and send prayers and strength to his family and friends.

Radhika Madan Proves A White Top With Blue Jeans Is A Classic Combination

href=”author/nelly-wadia”>Nelly Wadia , 13 Aug 2020Radhika Madan

Radhika Madan is an actress who used to be a former dance instructor and also participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, say what! She made her acting debut in Vishal Bhardwaj‘s Pataakha. However, she became increasingly popular and well-liked after Angrezi Medium, her 2020 release starring Irrfan Khan. This was his last hit before he passed away and still remains one of Bollywood’s greatest losses in my mind.

The actress will be seen next in Shiddat: Journey Beyond Love, a romantic drama film. The movie star Sunny Kaushal, Mohit Raina and Diana Penty. Radhika looks like she well on her journey to success as her past few films have indicated nothing but great acting. Scroll onto see looks from her latest outing.

Here’s a look at how Radhika styles her blue skinny jeans:

Basic blue jeans are a super important component for every woman’s closet. If you ever wondered what are the key things one should own then any expert would tell you the same thing. A nice pair of blue jeans that fit like a glove, of course, the style should vary according to what suits you best. The reason why jeans became as popular as they re today is because they can withstand wear and tear and are supremely comfortable. Even the tight ones are roomy and breathable enough.

Radhika picked a pair of light blue, skinny jeans for her meeting at the Maddock Films office in Mumbai. I really like this particular blue because it isn’t too light where it kinda looks white, I don’t understand that colour. She paired it with a no-brainer, a classic white, wrap-style blouse. The blouse featured a deep v-neckline. Honestly, this B-town cutie is proving every expert’s point about how a pair of blue jeans work best with white. I mean even Lana Del Rey sang about it:

Blue jeans, white shirt
Walked into the room, you know you made my eyes burn
It was like James Dean for sure

Radhika Madan

So do ya’ll need any more proof I ask?

Of course, the actress stepped out with a mask and accessorised her look with a pair of nude, suede pumps. And every girl’s favourite accessory; a black scrunchie on her right wrist. She left her tousled hair open to go with her ultra-casual look.

With the lockdown owing to the COVID-19 having turned our whole world upside down, it has made a lot of normal activities for us a far-fetched reality. This includes going to the theatre and just catching a movie. With the theatres being shut indefinitely now, many films are resorting to a digital OTT release. After Irrfan Khan‘s Angrezi Medium and Anurag Kashyap‘s Ludo, the Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana starrer, Gulabo Sitabo is the latest film to get a digital release on Amazon Prime Video.

Announcing this news, Amazon and the actors took to their social media accounts and informed audiences that the film will be available from the 12th of June. Amitabh Bachchan took to his Twitter to write about how this is something new for him in his career.
