Sanya Malhotra is currently busy with the promotions of her latest film, Pagglait, which has been garnering a lot of love, both for the story and her fine acting. The film is centred around patriarchy amongst other things, the factors that contribute to subduing a woman’s voice and therefore comes as no surprise as to why it’s doing so well. The promotional events for the same have been an excuse for Sanya to charm her fans with her style. Not one to shy away from experimentation, the actor’s looks are as vibrant and fun as they can get. Bright hues have been a Sanya Malhotra-favourite but of late, she’s taken her penchant for the same one step ahead by adding a range of quirky prints to the mix. Take her latest look for proof.

Styled by Sukriti Grover, the actor was seen dressed in a coordinated set comprising a cropped blazer and mini skirt designed by Neetu Rohra. The jacquard separates came textured in a floral pattern with colours like lime green, light blue and orange. To balance out the vibrancy of the co-ord set, Sanya wore a white sports bra from Flirtatious underneath the blazer. The rolled up sleeves only upped the style quotient of the whole look. For finishing touches, the actor picked a pair of quirky gold hoops from Antarez Jewels, a set of gold rings from Misho and teal pumps from House of Prisca.

Aditya Roy Kapur Sets Up His Own Gym At Home As He Bulks Up For ‘OM’

The pandemic hit a pause button for the world last year. Owing to this, even basic activities like going to the gym came to a halt in an effort to contain the spread of the virus. Now again, the second wave has hit many parts of the country, Maharashtra specifically, leading to the closure of a lot of gyms all over again. But this time, actor Aditya Roy Kapur didn’t let the situation hamper his intense workout regime for his next action film, ‘OM’.

The film will feature the handsome actor in a fierce and never seen before avatar. As he is set to perform some deadly, high octane action sequences in the film, Aditya is leaving no stone unturned to achieve the ripped avatar required for his character.

According to a source, Aditya has now set up a gym in his house as well as in his farmhouse to not miss his workout sessions.

Confirming the same, the source revealed:

Aditya is working really hard to get the desired look for his character in ‘OM’. Being a thorough professional , he realised that there was no way he could achieve the look required for OM if he didn’t take matters into his own hands. So he has now set up a special gym at his house as well as his farmhouse.

Counted amongst one of the sexiest Bollywood stars, the actor truly has an enviable bod, amirite?

Currently residing in his Mumbai home, the actor has not been stepping out due to the novel Coronavirus pandemic. Nevertheless, the new gym in his residence has now made working out much more easier and fun for the star. For the unversed, Aditya has even undergone martial arts and weapons training for the climax of the film.

‘OM’ is directed by Kapil Verma and co-produced by Ahmed Khan, Shaira Khan and Zee Studios and stars Aditya alongside the Dil Bechara actress, Sanjana Sanghi.

The perfect eyeshadow palette with an amazing formula can do so much. Depending on the colours available you can create a quick look in the morning that can easily be amped up for a night out or even mix things up and go bold for an eye-catching look. And if you know anything about me I love, with a capital L, love eyeshadows. It’s a makeup lover like mines dream. You can play and experiment with endless possibilities. The tough part though is there are so many options to choose from and figuring out what is actually the best. TBH from my experience, it all depends on personal preference. But if you’re shelling out money for the palette you want to know it’s going to do a good job.

Before I invest in any palette I always do a ton of research on formula, price, quality and value for money. With that said I’ve tried my fair share of eyeshadows so if you’re looking for any recommendations here are the current three favourites of mine. I don’t just love them and leave them to sit in the drawers. I actually use them a lot for a multitude of occasions and they have never steered me wrong.

I adore this cute tiny palette that has seen me through thick and thin. It’s slim and portable in compact cardboard packaging that you can easily travel with or slide in your purse if you’re on the go. Leaning more warm-toned it has 3 mattes and 1 shimmer and 2 metallic finishes that look great day or night and applies fabulously with a brush or your fingers. The colour payoff is great with a smooth consistency that blends with ease. TBH it takes the fuss out of creating an easy eye look for the day or night. Plus it has a lovely light vanilla scent that I don’t mind as it fades the minute you apply it to your eyes.

2. Charlotte Tilbury, Instant Eye Palette In Pillow Talk

I’m a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury products and when I first saw the colour story of this palette I fell in love. I had enough nudes in my collection but not enough pinks but I didn’t purchase it right away when it launched. I hesitated because of its price tag but last Black Friday I hit the jackpot with a special sale. Finally, it was within my budget and I couldn’t resist any longer. It’s definitely a universal wearable palette from light and darker skin tones that easily take you from day to night for different occasions. Filled with dreamy pinks and peachy nude tones it’s divided into 4 sections suggesting 4 different looks; Day, Desk, Date and Dream. 

The 12 eyeshadows have a mix of mattes and shimmers that are really pigmented and go on super smooth on the eyelids. I mostly reach out for Day on the weekdays and Dream more on the weekends. Of course, the sections are mere suggestions but it does save me a lot of time when I can’t be bothered to think too hard about what to put on my eyes.

3. Anastasia Beverly Hills, Jackie Aina Eyeshadow Palette

Another palette I’m so glad I put in my basket the minute there was a sale and I’ve never looked back. ABH palettes are known for being amazing and this one’s no exception. It features 14 warm and cool metallic and matte shades, with some iridescent shades thrown in. The colourful palette boasts an array of gorgeous pink, purple, brown, and red hues. The pigment on these is –chefs kiss-with minimal fallout. I pull this out whenever I want to amp up my makeup look or create vivid decadent eye looks. 

My favourites have to be Big Wig which is beautiful matte purple and Dwollahs which is stunning metallic golden olive. I was a little meh about purchasing it at first but I’m pretty happy I gave in because it’s definitely one of the brand’s better palettes If you’re looking for colours that show up on your skin with minimal effort this is the one for you. I think whether you’re a beginner at putting on eyeshadow or consider yourself an expert, you’ll enjoy using this palette.

Hasnsal Mehta, Richa Chadha And Several Others React To The Government’s Decision To Abolish FCAT

It’s a sad day for the film industry as the government took a decision to dissolve The Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) and this left the film-makers and actors concerned as the FCAT was their only beacon of hope to release the movies which have a hard time in getting a green signal from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

What is FCAT and how does it benefit the Film-makers?

The Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) was introduced in 1983 as a statutory body by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. If a movie ever ran into problems with the CFBC i.e if the filmmakers were not happy with the CBFC’s decisions regarding the release of their film, they had a chance to approach the FCAT, which would then interfere and allow the release of the movie with some necessary cuts. So basically the tribunal resolved issues with a broad-minded approach. FCAT played a major role in the release of some of the movies like – Lipstick Under My Burkha, Udta Punjab, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, Haraamkhor.

With the tribunal gone, what’s next?

After this order, the filmmakers dismayed by the decision of the CBFC will have to approach the high court directly, instead of the FCAT for the redressal of their grievances. The norms will be stricter and it’s going to get difficult with the FCAT gone.

How To Spot An Energy Vampire And 7 Ways To Deal With It

Do you interact with people who make you want to take a nap, a relaxing hot bath or just a holiday because of how tedious they can be? Technically they aren’t doing anything wrong or bad but something about them is simply exhausting. This particular emotion can leave you feeling confused and guilty because you can see they are good but interacting with them leaves you feeling depleted. On many occasions, you might even think it’s all in your head and that you aren’t being patient enough or kind enough. However, it becomes apparent after a while that you’re dealing with what they call an energy vampire.

An energy vampire is someone who knowingly or unknowingly drains the energy right out of you. They can be friends, lovers, spouses, family members etc. They feed on our need to care and listen to them and will always leave you feeling exhausted. But how do you really know it’s not you and it’s them, amirite? I’ve added a few significant signs on how to spot one and how to deal with them. Once you learn how to identify and respond to this behaviour the easier it will be for you to preserve your energy and protect yourself from the mental, physical and emotional distress they bring.

Here are the signs to keep an eye out for when dealing with an energy vampire:

  • They don’t take responsibility.

It is extremely easy for energy vampires to sneak in and out of trouble by simply turning their charm on. They are manipulative and crafty and are swift to pin the blame on someone else. They just simply won’t accept they are in the wrong and you might just have to digest that.

  • Their energy is nervous and intense.

A person with high energy might be an intense person to be around because they’re constantly on the move and rarely find themselves in a calm moment. Mix in the nervousness and insecurity and you have someone who might just make mountains out of molehills.

  • Energy vampires lack boundaries.

This happens because they can be pushy and have intrusive energy. They ignore all social etiquette and social cues. Essentially they are hard to shake off because they refuse to take no for an answer.

  • They constantly crave attention.

It is evident that an energy vampire needs the limelight. The topic of discussion is always them; you could be in the middle of a conversation with someone else and they’ll pop in and use an example and make it about them and their experience. They are charismatic and their energy will draw you in at first before you begin to notice how badly they need the attention.

  • Energy vampires are always negative.

Energy vampires are never content, there’s always something they feel the need to complain about. And well, looking at the glass half full constantly can well be extremely exhausting. You won’t hear an iota of positivity in their conversation.

  • Drama always surrounds an energy vampires

They are always drowning in the midst of absolute chaos. The reaction they have are dramatic and they somehow expect you to absorb and fix things by simply being friends with them.

  • They are constantly trying to be one step ahead of you.

An energy vampire always wants to do what you’re doing but secretly try and do it better or try to one-up you. They obviously don’t like sharing the spotlight and they struggle to feel genuine happiness for another person.

  • They diminish your problems and play up their own.

It is almost as if they pretend to be your friend with no interest or inclination to hear anything about your life. Even if you start to talk about yourself they will quickly shift the attention of the discussion to them.

  • Energy vampires always act like a martyr.

They always act like they are doing their best but everyone else around them is failing to do their jobs. By doing this they are seeking validation to boost their self-esteem.

  • There’s always an ultimatum or guilt trip with them.

Since they aren’t used to asking no for an answer they will resort to any tactic to get their way. They will guilt trip you to get what they want because they know that shame is a weapon to use against caring people. Ultimatums are another easy way to coerce someone to do something for you and they will resort to that as well.

  • They use your nature to their advantage.

If you are compassionate you are bound to be a victim to an energy vampire. It is because you will offer an ear and an endless reserve of patience to deal with them. You will constantly feel the need to give them the benefit of the doubt and that is because you want to believe they are good.

  • They are incapable of staying calm.

We mentioned their intense and nervous energy so we already know they lack the ability to stay calm. They can go from 0-10 in seconds and have no control over their emotions. This means they are highly reactive in nature and end up not allowing anyone else to relax in their presence either.

  • Energy vampires tend to make excuses.

Emotionally draining individuals have no qualms complaining about their so-called problems and they won’t work towards fixing them either. They seem content with the idea of constantly complaining about the same thing over and over whilst expecting something to change or have a different result.

Why it matters and what you can do?

An energy vampire will demand a lot of energy from the people that they target. And the exhausting effects can drain your energy reserve and will eventually have an obvious effect on your well-being. This might even lead to anxiety, depression and heart problems over time. Ok, let’s break this down further and now in spiritual terms. Energy vibrates through everything in the universe at different frequencies. Emotionally draining people will especially vibrate at a higher frequency and NOT in a good way. Energy vampires vibrate at a frequency that is that’s erratic, anxious and will cancel out any calm in any room. Their energy is infectious and is difficult to not be affected by. This is why it is important to recognize these traits, so you protect your energy by choosing from the following points below.

1) Be clear about your boundaries with an energy vampire.

Setting boundaries is a lot easier said than done; truly understand what you can stand to do and how much time you’re willing to spend with this person. Avoid weekend trips or any other extended events that will need you to share more space with them than you like. If you’re ok with dinner and coffee dates then make sure you set an allocated amount of time and find a way to end it when you really need to leave. If you work with this person, you can try and eat at different times of the day or sit with someone else or just drop by their desk for a quick chat so they don’t feel offended by your behaviour.

2) Adjust your expectations.

When dealing with an energy vampire you will need to fix your expectations when it comes to dealing with them. If you know they aren’t interested in listening to you then avoid sharing anything about your life with them, this way you don’t feel disappointed when your needs aren’t met. And when they begin to complain about their life, stay neutral and simply listen, do not offer any emotional advice. Because you know they won’t take it anyway so don’t try to fix them.

3) Be intentional about how much space they have in your life.

You do not need to answer their every phone call or text. When you have the energy to spare feel free to text them and say you were busy or you were too tired. In time they will realize you have no energy to give them and they have no power to take that they will soon look to another source to fill space.

4) Don’t engage energy vampires.

Don’t feed the conversation by asking more questions. Disconnect with a stone-cold facial reaction when the conversation becomes negative. Don’t give them the response they are seeking. You could keep trying to change the conversation to something lighter.

5) Do not overreact.

This is exactly what they need to thrive and there’s no point in giving them what they want. Remember to stay calm and cool when they are being overly dramatic. If you lose it they will be far worse so think about that.

6) Say No nicely.

You do not have to be unkind when saying no, you can be loving and compassionate and still stand up for what you want. Choose to say No if there is something you don’t wish to do, there is no point in being a doormat and then wondering about why this person continues to drain your energy.

7) Cut them out of your life if you can.

You have to do what’s best for you, if this is a person who isn’t close to you in any way; feel free to exercise your right by cutting them out of your life. You do not owe them or anyone your friendship, time and energy. And if it someone close to you then communicates just about enough for you to get away. You can use technology to your advantage and message them instead of actually speaking with them.

Try to be kind but don’t kill yourself doing it. Follow the points that work above, do your best because some people refuse to accept responsibility for their actions and that isn’t your cross to bear.

8 Simple Everyday Habits You Must Adopt For A Healthy Life

Following a healthy lifestyle may seem like a bit of a task and it is. But I can’t stress enough how rewarding it feels. Leading a healthy life can start with changing the smallest of habits that you and I in today’s day may not even realise we indulge in. Speaking in “today’s” language, when you Instagram how to switch your lifestyle, you may not always get what suits you or your needs. Most of the times, it’ll leave you overwhelmed and confused. That’s precisely what happened to me. So I took another course of action. I started to observe my daily routine, right from the time I wake up to the time I hit snooze and decided to note things that I do wrong. The next step was to eliminate them.

It’s been a couple of months since then and I can safely say, healthy life is addictive and it’s an addiction I’m not scared of. To help you get on this happy path as well, I’ve listed 8 small lifestyle changes you can make on this World Health Day to be happy and healthy.

1. Start your day as early as you can

Back in December, I got diagnosed with thyroid problems so I consulted my gynaecologist and amongst the many things she advised me about, one thing was this—starting your day as early as possible and ending it as early as possible. 7 AM is the best time to wake up, eat and go about your day. For a night owl like me, this was one of the hardest things to do but hey, 61 days later here I am telling you about it. It’s energy-boosting, a motivational push to have a productive day and the most obvious—gives you more time to do more things.

2. Do not hit the snooze button

The temptation to squeeze in those extra 5 minutes of sleep that gradually turn into 10, 20 and 30 may feel heavenly for those few minutes but will leave you feeling drowsy AF. I used to set my alarm for 6 AM so I could snooze almost an hour’s worth of sleep and it did not sit well with me. I felt supremely lethargic and less productive. My eyes were heavy throughout the day. Sound all too familiar? Yep, thought as much. It’s what hitting snooze does. The best thing to avoid this is to wake up the very instance your alarm rings or your natural body time wakes you up at. This will also help you regulate your sleep.

3. Don’t check your phone the first thing when you wake up

You’d be lying if you said it’s not the first thing you do. We’re so madly addicted to checking those notifications the minute we get them, we often forget that time is slipping away. Yes, I’m talking about myself but if the shoe fits, you know what you need to do. By not checking your phone first thing in the morning, you’re letting your own thoughts take over your mind, you’re thinking just about yourself and your day ahead and most importantly, saving time. The moment you spiral into scrolling through those endless number of stories and posts, you let the external world take over your mind before you’ve got the time to think about your own self.

4. Drink at least 2 glasses of water after waking up

Start with one glass if you’re new to this practice and then go to two. I’m definitely not going to give you a lowdown on why you should hydrate because that’s something we’re all well-aware of. But I will tell you that drinking at least two glasses of water in the morning, before brushing, will leave you feeling hella fresh. Try it. But throughout the day, don’t forget to drink 8 glasses of water.

5. Get that 7 AM – 9 AM sunlight

Something about basking in the early morning sun that makes me feel like I am one with nature. But most importantly, it’s your direct source of Vitamin D which strengthens your immune system and helps you get your nice and long beauty sleep.

6. Don’t skip your breakfast

Funny thing is, I used to do this and then actually had the audacity to complain about indigestion problems and acidity. Don’t do it, kids. Why wouldn’t you want to feed yourself first thing in the morning? If you don’t, it’s going to slow down your metabolism and that’s going to cause weight gain and weight gain will lead to a host of other problems, hair loss, headaches and more. So eat your first meal of the day without fail at the right time and eat well. Pro tip: include soaked dry fruits and fruits for more energy in the day and improved health in the long run.

7. Have your meals at appropriate hours

We dump most of the blame on our work for not eating on time but we really need to rethink our priorities. Not eating on time not only has its fair share of physical harms, but it also slows down your productivity rate, makes you foggy and cranky. It’s a no-go in any situation. I agree, for some of us, having a lunch leisurely is an unaffordable luxury but that’s really something to be fixed. Otherwise, it’s not going to benefit you in any way.

8. Never miss a workout

Not going to bore you with what you already know. But I will tell you that if you work out on a daily, it is going to boost your mood, productivity and happy hormones like never before. More than physical, the mental effects of exercising is what got me to make it a part of my daily routine.

The 2017 Tamil film, Vikram Vedha turned out to be one film that really won over the audiences with its absolute mass appeal and a very clever, witty and well-written storyline. So, I sure was excited to know that they are remaking it in Hindi!

The film is all set to star Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan together — essaying the roles originally essayed by Vijay Sethupathi and R. Madhavan. While Hrithik will play a gangster, Saif will play a police officer after him. According to an article by ETimes, Hrithik is all set to start shoot for the film in June.

A source informed that Hrithik is set to start his schedule by June and that he is already prepping for it. But in the month of May, he will be go through a more intensive prep.

The directors of the OG film, Pushkar and Gayathri are set to direct this film as well. The film is still in the pre-production stage, before they can go on floors this June.

On World Health Day, Choreographer Ashley Lobo Talks About Dance and Mental And Physical Health

Australian-Indian choreographer and educator Ashley Lobo shared his thoughts on how moving the body has the power to unlock mental and physical wellness. The choreographer is the founder of two of India’s premier professional dance institutes, The Danceworx Performing Arts Academy and Navdhara India Dance. He is known for his unique sensitizing approach which explores movement through yoga, breath, connectivity, and touch. This notable technique put him on the international map and gave rise to opportunities to teach and choreograph overseas. Lobo has over 30 Hindi films to his credit and he has also been a judge on India’s Dancing Superstar on Star Plus.

Speaking of the effect of dance on health, the choreographer says-

As someone who loves dance with a passion and passes it on to my students, I can say with confidence that dance has a life-changing impact on those who embrace it. The world can be a challenging place and given the times we are living in, we can all feel a bit frightened and disoriented. When we dance though, it instantly revives our spirit and gives us a glimpse of how beautiful life can be when we are in the moment and not stressing about the future.

The Big Bull Actress Nikita Dutta Tests Positive For COVID-19

In the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, we are seeing a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases all over. A lot of our celebrities have also tested positive for the virus in the past few days.

The latest person to test positive is actress Nikita Dutta. The actress gained popularity after she featured in the Shahid Kapoor—Kiara Advani starrer ‘Kabir Singh‘ and the Netflix film ‘Maska’. She is now set to be seen opposite Abhishek Bachchan in The Big Bull.

Apart from The Big Bull, Nikita has also been filming for ‘Rocket Gang‘ opposite Aditya Seal. This is choreographer Bosco Martis‘ directorial debut. Talking to ETimes, Nikita shared that she caught the virus while filming for Rocket Gang.

She says that it is unfortunate because the team has been trying to shoot the film since 2019, but the pandemic pushed it further. In the meantime, both Bosco and Aditya also tested positive. She shares that she has been asked to quarantine for 10 days, post which she will take another test.

She also added that she was planning on flying her mother down to Mumbai from Delhi, but couldn’t due to the travelling concerns. Now, her mother has been rushed to the ICU because of some health complications. As she has now tested positive for the virus, she also cannot go to see her for 10 days at least.

Here’s wishing Nikita a speedy recovery and here’s hoping her mother also feels better very soon!

1.  What according to you is social responsibility today?

I think now that social media has become our new virtual “reality” we as creators have to conduct ourselves as good role models – much like in the real world. Because the next generation is growing up on a diet of social media, just like generations before grew up on Television and pop culture. The impact is huge and long-lasting.

2. As an influencer, do you feel being socially responsible online is important? If yes, then why?

I think being socially responsible is important both on and offline. We just never made it part of our upbringing when it came to “online” because nobody quite knew what we were getting ourselves into. I think being socially responsible can mean many things, the most important of which is what kind of “influence” do you want to make on people? What kind if influencer do you want to be? If you want to be a “good influence” you have to hold yourself accountable for your social media behaviour and actions and be true to your audience.

3. Malini, could you share your experience on how you combated Covid-19?

We followed all the instructions of self-quarantine, checking our oxygen and temperature regularly, hydrating and loading up on vitamins and most importantly sleep! Luckily, I had a very mild almost asymptomatic case but it is still very important to take care of yourself because the fatigue can be quite overwhelming.

4. How according to you can creators and influencers encourage safety measures through their content?

First and foremost – lead by example. Wear a mask, follow the lockdown rules and regulations and wash your hands! By now we have all the information we need to make intelligent, informed decisions and what you all do will definitely influence the people who follow you. A lot of times people get their latest news and updates from creator handles so it’s important to be accurate, timely and never (even unknowingly) spread false information. Always check your sources.

5. While staying home, physical and mental health is also very important. What should one do to make sure they are happy and healthy even during these uncertain times?

Selfcare is so important, now more than ever. Aside from taking care of your physical body, you need to engage your mind through whatever makes you happy. Reading, watching Netflix, Zoom calls with friends and family. Whatever works for you is the right antidote, there are no wrong answers here. So, doesn’t feel obligated to do something just because other people are doing it, follow your own groove and trust your inside voice.

6. We are aware that you successfully combated Covid-19. In a time like this, how can one make sure their mental health doesn’t deteriorate?

For me, a huge boon was getting a puppy. Mylo is walking, talking, trotting entertainment 24/7! So that has been amazing. Aside from that, watching shows I love, reading, adult colouring books and making puzzles really make me happy! Of course, Zoom calls with friends is another great way to release stress and anxiety. Especially when you can’t see them in person.

7. Lastly, the effect of this pandemic is rampant and it’s true that creators have the capability to influence people to do the right thing. What pointers should a creator keep in mind while posting content online?

Most importantly, spread positivity and good vibes. A lot of people are turning to social media to relieve their lockdown anxiety. Be there for them. Definitely lead by example and show people how responsible you’re being. Fear tends to be a big trigger and very detrimental to everyone’s immunity so spread the word of caution but also how to deal with it if you contract the virus. Many creators and celebrities have been sharing their stories themselves and relating to those who are having the same experience.

Honestly, we completely agree with Malini! During the pandemic and otherwise, influencers hold the responsibility of encouraging responsible behaviour among people. The COVID-19 pandemic changed lives in a way we never imagined and the second wave in India has led the government to impose restrictions in some parts of the country. As a result, many film production houses have pushed the release dates and one such movie that has been affected is Simon McQuoid’s much-awaited action-fantasy film, ‘Mortal Kombat’.

Earlier, Mortal Kombat was slated to hit the theatres in India on 16th April and due to the lockdown protocols in some states, the release date has now been pushed to 23rd April. The movie will release in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu across cinemas in India. The video game franchise-inspired film has an international star cast which includes Joe taslim, Jessica McNamee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Sisi Stringer, Lewis Tan, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks and Josh Lawson.

In this movie, MMA fighter Cole Young will seek out for Earth’s greatest champions to fight against the enemies of Outworld in a high stakes battle for the universe. But again, it’s not impossible. Special Ops 1.5 actor, Aadil Khan underwent a major body transformation in just 4 months! Can you believe it? I have massive respect for him because I know that kind of dedication requires loads of motivation.

The actor who made his big-screen debut in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s romantic drama movie Shikara, took to his social media to share a before and after picture of his fitness transformation, and the post stirred a buzz amongst his fans because that physical change was truly praiseworthy. Along with the photo, the actor shared a very inspiring message on the highs and lows of his fitness journey. The pandemic had taken a toll on his mental health but eventually, he managed to push himself out of that phase and focused all his energy on his transforming himself and giving a complete 180-degree turn to his physical and mental health. Aadil also shared that his father, Zafar Ullah Khan played a major role in keeping him motivated throughout his journey.

Speaking of his body transformation, the actor shares-

In my profession, I am my own tool.. which means I need to be physically and mentally fit. Also it means that I can’t let my dreams die. I can’t give up, and I have to keep the grip strong. In the last few days, we have seen a massive spike in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country. We are going through what they call, the second wave of the pandemic. This is especially widespread in Maharashtra, which has resulted in the government imposing a partial lockdown in the state.

This means shutting down public places that attract a crowd, like theatres.Only in the beginning of this year, the Government allowed the theatres to run at 50-100% capacity. This led to a lot of filmmakers announcing the re-release of their films. But unfortunately, due to the uncertainty that is looming over us again, releasing the films has become doubtful yet again.

One of the big budget films that was set to release was Rohit Shetty‘s Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. We told you about how the film might get delayed. Just yesterday, the Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Uddhav Thackeray, had a discussion with director Rohit Shetty. In the meeting, Mr. Uddhav Thackeray is said to have appreciated Rohit as he took the brave and difficult decision of postponing Sooryavanshi owing to the current COVID situation in the state.

Though we were super thrilled to finally be catching the mass entertainer on screen after a whole year of delay, it is only reasonable that we all stand together and do all that we can to help contain the spread of the virus.

Here’s hoping that we get to see Sooryavanshi, and all the other films that were up for theatrical release very soon once the situation gets better.

Deepika Padukone Announces ‘The Intern’ Alongside Amitabh Bachchan In A New Poster

Last year, it was announced that the official Indian remake of the 2015 Hollywood film, The Intern was in the works. The film revolves around a young and driven entrepreneur (Anne Hathaway) and a 70-year-old retired gentleman (Robert De Niro) who starts a senior internship program under her and how they develop an unlikely and heartwarming friendship. The Indian adaptation was set to star Deepika Padukone alongside the late actor, Rishi Kapoor.

A few days ago, we had written about reports that suggested that Amitabh Bachchan has been approached to step into Rishi Kapoor’s shoes. Today, Deepika took to her Instagram to share the official announcement about Amitabh joining the film. Sharing a poster with hers and Mr. Bachchan’s silhouettes, with their names in bold, DP wrote, “What an absolute honour to be collaborating with one of my most special co-star again!”

This is not the first time Mr. Bachchan and Deepika will be coming together on screen. They have been loved by audiences all over for having played the eccentric and loveable father-daughter duo in Shoojit Sircar‘s Piku. Well, I am super excited for my favourite ‘Piku‘ duo to come together for this heartwarming films, again, one of my favourites!

The intern is presented by Athena and Warner Bros. Pictures (India). It is set to be directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and produced by Sunir Kheterpal and Deepika. It is slated to release in the summer of 2022.
